Lyrics: I'm a little bit a ball cap Little bit of pearl snap button down shirt Little bit of big city concrete But a lot more small town dirt I can see your pretty eyes reading me like a map Wondering who I am and where I'm at I'm in between Friday night wild And quiet Sunday morning Between done after one and keep on pourin’ Ain't too high, ain't too low Just holding down the middle Steady as I go I ain't all holy water and I ain't all Jim Beam I'm somewhere in between I can be a steel toe work boot 40 hour blue collar mud on my jeans Then a weekend pack a bag Disappear, kick back on a white sand beach I'm a far cry from being a one-night stand But I ain't ready for a ring on my hand I'm in between Friday night wild And quiet Sunday morning Between done after one and keep on pourin’ Ain't too high, ain't too low Just holding down the middle Steady as I go I ain't all holy water and I ain't all Jim Beam I'm somewhere in between I can see your pretty eyes reading me like a map Wondering who I am and where I'm at I'm in between Friday night wild And quiet Sunday morning Between done after one and keep on pourin’ Ain't too high, ain't too low Just holding down the middle Steady as I go I ain't all holy water and I ain't all Jim Beam I'm somewhere in between Yeah, I'm somewhere in between

Scotty McCreery - "Five More Minutes" and lyrics

Scotty McCreery video for "Five More Minutes" off of the album Season's Change. Lyrics below

Eight years old a couple cane poles sitting down by the creek
Our lines in the water watching those bobbers seeing that red sun sink
Mama's on the porch yelling “supper's hot, y'all come and get it!”
We yelled five more minutes

At sixteen it was twelve o three standing at her front door
Katie's dad said midnight, but we needed just a little more
Yellow light flipping on and off, interrupting that goodnight kissing,
We wanted five more minutes

Time rolls by the clock don't stop
I wish I had a few more drops
Of the good stuff, the good times
Oh but they just keep on flying
Right on by like it ain't nothing
Wish I had me a pause button
Moments like those Lord knows I'd hit it
And give myself five more minutes

At eighteen turned my helmet in and walked to the fifty-yard line
Just the coach and me after we lost eighteen to nine
And I cried man next time to get in here I'll have to buy a ticket
Can't you give me five more minutes

Time rolls by the clock don't stop
I wish I had a few more drops
Of the good stuff, the good times
Oh but they just keep on flying
Right on by like it ain't nothing
Wish I had me a pause button
Moments like those Lord knows I'd hit it
And give myself five more minutes

At eighty-six my grandpa said there's angels in the room
All the family gathered 'round knew the time was coming soon
With so much left to say I prayed Lord I ain't finished
Just give us five more minutes

Time rolls by the clock don't stop
I wish I had a few more drops
Of the good stuff, the good times
Oh but they just keep on flying
Right on by like it ain't nothing
Wish I had me a pause button
Moments like those Lord knows I'd hit it
Yeah sometimes this old life will leave you wishing
That you had five more minutes

Five more minutes

Scotty McCreery Surprised by his Idol, Josh Turner, during Hometown Visit. VIDEO: Scotty & Josh Sing "Your Man"

Country Western star Josh Turner surprises American Idol Season 10's Scotty McCreery on stage, during Scotty's hometown visit to Garner, NC. Scotty was in the middle of performing his theme song on Idol, "Your Man" (Baby lock them doors and turn the lights down low....), when Josh ambles onto the stage. Scotty turns around and practically runs into Josh, yelling, "Oh my God!" They go on to sing a duet of "Your Man".

Scotty McCreery Reacts To Winning American Idol

Scotty McCreery speaks with reporters after winning American Idol Season 10. Scotty discusses his friendship with Lauren Alaina, working with Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler and what he plans to do with his first days off from the show.

Scotty McCreery: Winning with grace

As a gal who calls Garner, NC home, Etiquette Amy has a heart filled with pride. As we’ve said before, proper etiquette is acting in a proper manner and Scotty McCreery did just that last night . McCreery last night won the 10th season of American Idol and his representation for Garner, NC has been impeccable. How many seventeen year olds are mature enough to win a national competition and stay humble to their roots?

Scotty McCreery has not only stayed true to himself throughout this competition, but he has also stayed true to his morals, values and faith in God. He knows who he is and has never sold himself short. Being from such a close knit family, Scotty has a terrific support system to keep him on track and keep his feet on the ground.

Winning with grace is the best way to describe Scotty last night. First and foremost thanking God, and then trotting down the stairs to hug and give love to his family as he sang his new hit single. As he came back up on stage, Scotty hugged each of the contestants capping the end of the show. There wasn’t one single moment where he looked like the win had gone to his head. His humbleness warmed our hearts. It’s so refreshing to see someone win that truly cares about more than just the win.

The town of Garner has a treasure in Scotty. Throughout this competition, Garner has supported and rallied around the McCreery family with the warmth and compassion that only a small town can offer. Scotty and the town of Garner have both shown America one of the most important traits in life: FAITH!

Congratulations to Scotty, the McCreery family and the town of Garner.
